MAterials for Smarter AUTOnomous sensors

MSCA Doctoral Network

Project

The objective of the MASAUTO Network is to train a new generation of Doctoral Candidates (DCs) in cutting-edge advanced materials fabrication, simulation and characterization techniques to address the pressing challenge of achieving a sustainable IoT ecosystem. The overall objective is to push forward the current technological limits of materials properties and material heterostructures for this particular challenge, as well as, to advance the adoption of these techniques in key industrial sectors, namely in materials and electronics. Specifically, we intend to:

• Train a group of highly skilled DCs through the creation of a research network where they can work together and exchange ideas across European experts on materials development for next generation of IoT devices.
• Improve fundamental knowledge on unsolved issues related to materials for autonomous smart sensors.
• Develop novel materials for energy harvesting, storage and integrated functionality in IOT devices.
• Ensure that Europe cements its place as a world leader in the development of next generation IoT devices.
